from 5766 reviewsEven better than the highlighters!
I love these. They should have more colors. I love that I can get a nice bold line and write with it in my Hobonichi weeks

lovely charm
it's heavier than i thought it would be. it fits onto 2mm stretch cord easily, 3mm was difficult but possible. i used a small awl to encourage it to go thru.

Gorgeous
Absolutely gorgeous. Love all of the little details and the fanciness of this. Such a great value given how beautiful this is. The EF nib was surprisingly so smooth too.

TWSBI Fine Pen
Love this pen and color combination. The TWSBI brand is great as a starter pen or even for a novice in the fountain pen world. The writing is smooth. Would highly recommend. Yoseka also packages all of their shipped items beautifully. I love receiving my carefully wrapped items.

A little piece of yoseka all wrapped up in a sailor with a music nib
A little piece of yoseka all wrapped up in a sailor with a music nib! Beautiful pen, beautiful writer. So glad I chose the music nib (after a lot of research) Ive wanted a music nib for so long now, but I wasn’t sure I’d write with it very often. It’s a lovely nib to write with and the pen is stunning. I’ve wanted to visit yoseka in person and buy a pen for a few years now’s, unfortunately it’s not looking likely so I took the plunge and ordered online (international order) so glad I did. Very well packaged and tracking all the way, great communication highly recommend thank you.

Music Nib
I am grateful for the opportunity to purchase a 14 K gold music nib by Nagasawa. The silver and black pen body is not my typical choice, however, in person is very classy. I inked this pen up with Platinum Classic Forest Black which is an iron gall ink. So beautiful. The ink flows well although I expected it to write wetter. Nice grip section and find it comfortable to write with in longer writing sessions.

Nagasawa Original Standard Fountain Pen - Black/Silver
Nagasawa Chaska Blue Silver
This is a beautiful pen. A silver/grey leaning top and a clear, bluish barrel. Both parts have subtle sparkles. The extra fine steel nib definitely writes like an extra fine but is smooth with just slight feedback. It's fun to write with and comparable to a Sailor Pro Gear.

An excellent evolution of the 3776 Century
The Travia is an updated re-issue of the Limited Edition Century 3776 released for the 10th Anniversary of the Century. I love my Platinum Century 3776 10th Anniversary pen, the slight bounce of the nib and the chalk like feedback on most paper are two things I really enjoy about the pen. This update to the pen keeps the best aspects of the Anniversary pen while adding a few tweaks.
First, the Travia has weight added to the pen body to move the pen’s center forward. The weight adds almost 10g over the 10th Anniversary pen and 12g over my Platinum 3776 Series B. There are actually two weights. The grip section is one weight, the metal band + body threads that connect to the grip is the second; the grip is the heavier of the two. When separated neither feels particularly heavy but together the weight is noticeable until the nib is about to meet the paper and then it disappears. I don’t know if this will be a positive or negative for long writing sessions but for my testing it made me more aware of the pen as I held it because every time I lifted the nib off the paper the weight at the front of the pen pulled at my grip - not in an uncomfortable way but in a “Hey, I am here” way.
The nib of the Travia has the same “softness” that the 10th Anniversary nib does but less of that feel of “writing with sharp chalk.” The writing experience with the Travia on Rhodia and Kokuyo Business Paper is excellent. The difference in the “feel” of writing between the two nibs, with that slight chalky feedback, is kind of like the difference between hearing bass on a mid/full range speaker and on a sub-woofer (the Travia being the sub-woofer).
What is FLAF? The Float Like A Feather “softness” is not a flex softness, it is more about not feeling a stiff firmness when you press the nib against paper. The “softness” of the nib is similar to what you would feel writing with a Pilot Custom 67 or Pilot Kaede. The Aurora flex nib is slightly softer, a Pilot FA nib is significantly softer. I can’t think of anything else I have that has the same kind of softness except the 10th Anniversary edition of the pen.
One last comment on the weight, the way the weight is engineered brings to mind the Nagasawa Sailor 1911L Realo FL. It has a brass grip which creates an effect similar to the Travia but my Realo is only ~23g vs the ~33g of the Travia.

Gorgeous
A gasp inducing deep color of green, but with just enough “vegetal” energy to make it look like a deep matcha on paper.

Beautiful Ink
I love the color of this ink but I was looking for one that was closer to turquoise and went with ama-iro instead. I truly appreciate that Yoseka makes all of these ink samples available!
