Welcome to Yoseka Stationery

At Yoseka, we know the importance of testing new stationery and the tactile experience of a notebook, pens, and stickers.

We want every guest who comes through our doors to have the time and space to experience stationery to the fullest, because at Yoseka, we bring people closer to stationery.

Plan your visit with some recommendations and extra information about how our store runs so that you can make the most of your Yoseka experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

In Store

Our website inventory corresponds to our warehouse inventory, which is at a different location than our brick and mortar store. Unfortunately, not everything on the website will be available in store.

If you see something specific you like, we recommend placing a local pickup order through our website. Please allow for at least a couple business days for a local pickup order to be ready at the store. Our team will send an email when the order is ready for pickup.

Yes, we love furry friends!

However, the store can get busy, and there can be multiple pets at a given time. If you know that your pet gets easily overwhelmed, we recommend leaving them at home.

If a pet becomes disruptive to the store, our team may ask you to leave and come back another time without them.

Our store can get very busy on weekends, as well as during Yoseka events and on holidays. We want everyone in our store to have an excellent and safe experience, so we often limit the number of people in our store.

If you're visiting us during a busy time, you may be asked to wait in line. Usually the wait is around 5-10 minutes, but it can vary. Keep an eye out for scheduled events, and always feel free to speak to a team member if you have a question!

We are happy to say that we make samples of our inks, so that you can try a small amount of ink before committing to a whole bottle.

Depending on the ink, we can usually make a sample of 3ml or 5ml, enough to fill a standard converter at least 4 times! Be sure to ask our team to make sure we do samples of the ink you're looking for.

Although we would love to make infinite ink samples, especially on busy days we do sometimes limit or pause ink samples for the day.

If you're traveling to us on a weekend or a holiday, we recommend either ordering ink samples in advance for local pickup, or keeping a record of which inks you like in store and ordering samples through our website.

Although our team will be happy to look at your fountain pen and assess what might be the cause of the problem, we do not have the tools or training to service a nib in house.

Because fountain pens are delicate instruments, there are a number of user errors that might be happening. Our team is well experienced and is happy to work with you to see if there's something going on or if the pen does need to be serviced.

If a team member suggests that a proper servicing might help, we do often have nib meisters, or expert nib masters, come and book appointments to service and grind nibs. Keep an eye out on our events website and on our socials to see when those are and book appointments!

Yes! We are proud to say that we have a tester of almost every gold nib we sell. We even have testers of Sailor Naginata nibs! Please ask a team member if you're interested in testing, and they will happily help you.

Most of the events we host are not held at our store, but in our event space, Yoseka Land!

Yoseka Land is our events space, conveniently located across the street from our brick and mortar store, at 58 West St. Yoseka Land is not always open, but keep an eye out on our socials and in our newsletter to see what's in the works.
