This is my first Japanese pen and also my most expensive. I like broad nibs so I was a little concerned that this would be thinner than what I like. It lay down a slightly thinner line but it's a DREAM to write with. I love it so much I don't even mind. It's also so pretty.
It is a bit smaller than I had anticipated. That's my fault, I should have bought the full size one knowing I like fat pens. I just didn't want to spend more on that knowing I may not like the nib. Nothing worse than getting a super expensive pen that you don't want to use! Happy to report that is not the case here and I will keep my eye on the full size pro gears for a future purchase!

This is a wet ink well in the pen I put it in. Looks more back in certain lights. But flows nice in the pen.
