Hobonichi Pencil Board - Akiko Miyakoshi

Designed to match the size of your corresponding Hobonichi Techo, these pencil boards provide a smooth writing surface while protecting the pages beneath. Each pencil board features a convenient "Today" tab in the corner that doubles as a bookmark, making it easy to keep your place as you plan or journal. Featuring artwork by picture book author Akiko Miyakoshi, each design lets you enjoy the gentle charm of her illustrations. The reverse side of each pencil board is finished in a complementary color inspired by the artwork.

A6 Size – Sunny Day: This painting was created by Akiko Miyakoshi, expanding on her imagination inspired by the lovely window scenery she saw while traveling in the UK. The reverse side features a yellow color that evokes the warmth and light of the sun.

A5 Size – In the Air: This piece depicts the urge to fly off somewhere, inspired by Miyakoshi's love of travel. The reverse side is a navy blue that evokes the feeling of the night.

Weeks Size – Lazy Morning: This piece was created from Miyakoshi's desire to capture the fresh light of the morning. The reverse side is a light blue inspired by crisp morning air and the scent of fresh sheets.

    About Akiko Miyakoshi:

    Akiko Miyakoshi is the award-winning creator of several books for young readers that have been translated around the world. Her children’s books  include The Storm, The Tea Party in the Woods, The Way Home in the Night, and The Little Shrew, which have been translated into French, Spanish, and Chinese.. Her work has also been  featured in solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Japan.
