A Thing of Beauty
While I do like the pen's feedback, the beautiful Maki-e cherry blossoms were my primary reason for purchasing the pen. I also like the traditional gold nib on this pen. The pen does write a little dry, so, I am considering have the pen customized to write wetter, but I do not regret purchasing the pen, as this pen is truly beautiful.

I purchased the Pilot Iroshizuku Syo-ro (Dew on Pinecl tree) ink to Complement the green leaves in the Platinum 3776 Century Urushi Maki-e Sakura fountain pen, which I purchased the same day from Yoseka Stationary. While the ink does pair well with the pen, it is beautiful in and of itself. The ink is kind of between a teal and pine green and does conjure up the image of pine trees.

It’s a small plastic storage box which at first glance looked like it had limited use cases — admittedly, that’s what I thought when I first got it. But don’t let that fool you. This storage box has a lot of surprises and if you think creatively, good uses. It opens up on both sides! One side is bento-like divided into smaller spaces. I’m currently using it for my small flake sticker collection. The other side is a wider space and gives you more options, like the King Jim Kitta washi tapes. Don’t let the small size fool you. It’s a practical product and worth the purchase.

I've never tried an OHTO pen before but the classic Yoseka green drew my eye and as soon as I clicked the pen out I had to have it. The mechanism used has such a nice feel to it like it snaps into place and scratches an itch in my brain I can't possibly hope to describe. The faceted body makes it reminiscent of a standard pencil with a clip making it nice and portable.
The ink itself is surprisingly smooth, best comparison I can make is to my Zebra clip-on multi pen, but which a much finer tip. Although, after testing it, I found I preferred their gel ink formula - but the refills are the same shape so it was a super quick and easy swap!
