I love this layout. I really like the cream color paper. I’ve used fountain pen without any bleedthrough. There’s not as many “extras” as Hobonichi Weeks but that can be a positive for some. I feel like I have lots of space to write! Not sure how I feel about about a split year yet but I remain optimistic!

This ink is easier to read than expected (in a Pilot Prera F nib), nice and wet and dries rather quickly on Tomoe River paper. It writes a little wet, and has lovely shading. This is my first Tono and Lims and I expect to buy more in the future

Perfect for daily journaling
Using this for my daily journaling page alongside my Take A Note Medium Weeks to keep my personal morning pages journaling separate from my main planner. The paper is perfect and shows off fountain pen inks very well (shading, shimmer, sheen). Perfect size and the lines are just right- not too light to be unhelpful, but not so dark as to be distracting. Some ghosting from front to back as expected from a lower gsm, but in a very satisfying way- no bleed through.

Strong sheening dark blue ink
This ink falls in my “heavy sheener” catagory. You wont see much of the ink color unless you add a little water to dilute it, at least I didnt. The ink dries quickly to reveal a strong red sheen on Midori MD paper. It sheens on most papers to some extent. The blue is super dark so with a fine or extra fine nib it might as well be black. Flow is good, average to dry but in my C5!I never got a hard start even after a week capped. The ink leaves a residue so extra cleaning is necessary with demonstrators. Dry times are good, it doesnt smear or smudge on Midori MD paper after drying.
I like this ink but there are many dark blue inks with heavy red sheen on the market so it isnt that unique of an ink.

Ink Institute Premium Sheen Ink - Shadowsnow
Attractive green with good flow
The ink is a green on the darker side with a low to medium amount of sheen on fine and extra fine nibs. The effect is that you can see the ink color and not just the sheen. Flow is average in my Majohn C5 which can probably be considered wet for a sheening ink 🤣. Dry times are not long, on Midori MD paper the ink does not smudge after drying. When cleaning it does leave a residue so extra effort is required on demonstrators.

I like the feel of the pencil while writing. The way the cap closes and opens also feels very good. The writing is smooth. The weight helps it doesn't fly off your grip easily.
