About Kakimori:
Located in downtown Tokyo, Japan, Kakimori boasts a deep connection with its neighborhood and customers. They value the importance of storytelling and the joy associated with handcrafted goods and handwriting. They emphasize a state of coexistence with the four major elements — air, water, earth, and soil — and employ these ideals in each of their products. Their flagship store is well known and loved for their custom fountain pen ink and custom notebook services, which lets customers mix and assemble their own unique tools for writing.
I purchased this with an aluminum kakimori nib holder. The nib writes less smoothly than fountain pen(pilot/namiki), but smooth enough. The channels hold a lot of ink, and i can get a full page before the ink runs out. A wetter ink worked better for me. For me, OS nitrogen was a bit thick for the nib, Noodler's blue ghost ran perfectly.
I bought this mainly for use with specialty inks, I wouldn't use everyday in a pen(OS inks, blue ghost, etc).
Very pleased with how Yoseka Stationary is so efficient and how very quickly they shipped. The nib exceeded my expectations and is now my favorite nib to use in my artwork.
Excellent seller!!!!
These nibs are just so much fun. I like that I can easily swatch my inks, but I mostly use them in my art. They are absolutely the best for sketching because the nibs give such a nice variety of line width and interest. The stainless steel feels slightly more scratchy, and reminds me a little like a pencil. But I don't mind it at all. Very happy with my purchase. And Yoseka Stationery shipped lightening speed !!
Awesome nib for writing and thin line sketches, it writes like a fine but you really gotta keep the tip perpendicular. Honestly it’s the best alternative to a drillog.
