This detachable copper nib will patina over time, and provides an exceptionally smooth writing experience. Designed by designer Yuto Yamazaki of the design studio Alloy, this durable and practical nib is designed with universal specifications to fit all standard nib holders. The base of the nib is adorned with the Kakimori logo.

 

Copper naturally oxidises when exposed to air. The new nib may show a reddish tint or some spotting out of the box — this is normal and does not affect its performance. Thanks to the metal’s natural softness, the tip will gradually round with use, resulting in bolder lines and a smoother writing experience over time. For a nib that stays sharp over time, you may enjoy the Stainless Steel nib instead.
