SEED is an eraser company that originally started as a natural rubber company back in 1915. They discovered in 1956 that PVC works much better for eraser. Around that time, a typical eraser with natural material hardens over time, and becomes harder to erase. On the other hand, eraser made with PVC stays soft and unchanged for a long time.
