Yoseka Stationery at The Standard
Yoseka Stationery at The Standard. We are excited to announce that next month we will be working with The Standard, East Village to set up a Gifting Room in the Private Dining Room of Narcissa restaurant, right beside the hotel's Winter Garden. We will take over a room and fill it up with stationery, paper, cards, small gifts, and wrapping workshops. The space will not be the same as our shop in Sunnyside. It will be more interactive and casual, similar to our own workshops, with specialty winter cocktails, wines, beer and bites available for purchase while you wrap. We will be teaching wrapping techniques throughout...
Hightide Diary Minute Manager
Hightide Diary Minute Manager. Last week, we added our final additions of 2020 planners from Hightide. You might be familiar with many of Hightide’s stationery such as marble tray, Nahe bag and Penco clips from our previous introductions. Minute Manager started in 2002, and the design is an extension of Penco, which is heavily inspired by the American stationery in the 50s-60s.Just like Hightide’s other stationery. Their planners are simple, functional and aesthetically pleasing. Minute Manager features a sturdy vinyl cover with an additional pocket to keep personal items. The planner comes with yearly overview, monthly pages, weekly pages, and...

Kokuyo Soft Ring
Kokuyo Soft Ring. Kokuyo's Soft Ring line of notebooks comes with soft spiral rings between the pages. The notebook's soft rings are gentle on your hands as you are writing in the notebook, and will not damage or catch on to other objects when placed in a backpack or other bag. It also allows you to utilize the whole blank page when you are writing since you will be able to lean your hand on the soft rings instead of avoiding the uncomfortable metal rings of most other spiral notebooks (leaving an irritating inch of blank space around the rings) 😊The notebook in the video is Soft Ring Biz. It’s designed. The Soft Ring Biz is...
Himekuri Sticky Calendar 2020
Himekuri Sticky Calendar 2020. Himekuri is a relatively new calendar concept since 2018. To put it simply, it’s a combination of daily calendar and sticky memo. Typically on a daily calendar, the pages are thrown away right away. With sticky memo, each page not only works like a daily calendar but can also be reused in journal or places that marks your daily memories throughout the year — in cards, as bookmarks, or any place where you write down dates. Each week has the same color scheme, and each day has its own design. The set comes with 365 different designs.For...
Trip to Taiwan
Last week, I took a trip to Taiwan and spent time traveling in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Zhongli. I traveled with friends, did some sightseeing, ate a lot of delicious food, spent time with my relatives and visited Neil’s family at the original Yoseka Stationery in Zhongli. Although I have been to Taiwan many times, this was a trip full of many firsts for me! One of the highlights of this trip was looking through old photos and photo albums that my aunt brought down one night from storage. My Mom and I stayed up late going through old photographs...
Pentel Stylo/PulaMan
Pentel Stylo/PulaMan. The tip of this pen might look a little strange. The felt tip of pen is centered and sandwiched by two sections. The longer section gives a little more resistance when a downward pressure is applied. The reason it looks like this is because in 1978, this pen was designed to be a cheaper replacement for fountain pens. The tip of this pen resembles a fountain pen, and it was named PulaMan. (Pula is short for plastic, and this pen is also nicknamed plastic fountain pen). It was during the time when ballpoint pens were on the rise...
Traveler's Notebook 2020 Planners
Each year, Traveler’s Company designs a theme to go with their yearly planners. This year’s theme is Travel Tools. On the folders, underlays, and the stickers, there are images of tools that you would bring to make a great trip. And of course, one of the great item to bring is Traveler’s Notebook 😊This year, for each new Traveler’s Notebook purchase, you will also get a bonus limited rubber bands for your TN. For those pre-ordered with us, we are currently working your orders, and we will have them ready as soon as possible! .
The little small cuts on the eraser paper cover
Have you ever noticed the little small cuts on the corners of your eraser paper cover? They are a small but sweet design common among brands such as Radar and Tombow Mono. When you use your eraser, the pressure bends the eraser a little more around the corners. Without the small cuts, for example the eraser on the right, the paper wears off more easily around the corner.
