Fountain Pen Lover

$$$ - Pilot Custom 823 - Clear - $336
Any fountain pen lover will likely already know about the Pilot Custom 823. It is a beautiful fountain pen with an amazing gold nib known for its smoothness and softness, and it is one that is cherished by many in the fountain pen community. What's cool about this Custom 823 in particular is the color way. For the longest time, Pilot USA only had this pen available in transparent black and transparent brown, but earlier in 2024, they introduced the Clear color here from Japan! Your fountain pen loving friend will love being able to see the color of their ink in the transparent barrel of their new Custom 823.

$$ - Bronze Age - Year of the Dragon Fountain Pen - $220

If you're looking for a unique and rare pen as a gift for your fountain pen loving friend who already has a lot of pens, look no further! This Year of the Dragon fountain pen was released by us earlier this year in collaboration with Fine Writing International, a Taiwanese pen maker. Designed by our team member Ashley to incorporate thoughtful details of the dragon to celebrate the lunar year of the dragon in 2024, this brass-bodied fountain pen fills using a push button vacuum filling system for easy no-mess filling.

$ - Kaweco Fountain Pen Ornament - $35

Even though this is not necessarily a fountain pen your friend will be able to use or write with, I promise you that they will squeal with delight when they see this adorable jumbo fountain pen! Every year, Kaweco makes one in a limited color and this year's is transparent. These glass ornaments are made by hand in Germany and I can honestly say (from personal experience and testing) that they look so cute hanging up on a Christmas tree.

Planner/Journaler

$$$ - PLOTTER Leather Binder - $145 - $242

This is a minimal and beautiful notebook system that uses rings instead of a glue or stitched binding so the notebook itself is refillable and you can organize/re-order the pages inside as much as you want until you find what works best. The idea is to not have to carry around so many papers--just what you need to stay organized throughout the day.

$$ - Midori Hibino 2025 Journal - $64

If your journaling friend has a daily journaling habit whether it's morning pages or another daily journaling routine, they will love this 2-page-per-day journal. Unlike many journals which designate 1-day-per-page, the Midori Hibino, which was released in 2022 for the 2023 year, gives its users 2 pages per day for everyday of the year. The fountain pen friendly paper in the Hibino is 52gsm Tomoe River paper, which is thin and lightweight, which prevents it from becoming overly chunky while still offering the luxurious 2 pages per day of journaling space.

$ - Shinnippon Daily Moon 2025 Calendar - $17

The planner/journaler in your life can use this mini desktop tear away calendar to keep track of the days, but many in the stationery community will even tear the thin paper used in this calendar to use in the journal collages.
