I chose to replace my “m” nib unit to a “f” nib unit. The package arrived safely to New Zealand. I was a little concerned… “what if it’s scratchy” and “how would I fix it” …. so on. However it is a beautiful writer and I’m glad I chose to do it this way rather than purchase an entire pen locally, because ultimately I love my Matt Black and any other pen body would sit about discarded. Better than the original
I bought this nib unit to replace one that I damaged by dropping it. The original pen came from a different shop and the nib never really felt great, so maybe it was a blessing that I dropped the pen. My new nib from Yoseka is smooth and buttery like I would expect from a Pilot nib. One thing that was a little funny is that Yoseka shipped the nib in a re-used Kaweco box. At first I thought they sent the wrong thing, but I guess they just used the box for extra protection and cushioning. Anyway, three cheers for Yoseka!
