Lennon Tool Bar - 2026 Spring Limited - Pretty Vol 4 - 鬼針草 (Bidens Pilosa) Gui Zhen Cao
Pretty Vol. 4 captures the quiet beauty of spring as it unfolds in everyday corners of the landscape, inspired by the Taiwanese phrase “媠甲有賰 (春)”, which means “unparalleled beauty.” As winter draws to a close, the Bidens pilosa, also known as the black-jack plant, eagerly blooms like black fireworks scattered among the grass. This black ink is inspired by the color of the needle-like seeds of the Bidens pilosa plant.
Suddenly, an orange furry cat darts out from the grass. Purring to herself, she rubs affectionately against your feet, leaving a coat full of the black Bidens pilosa seeds clinging to your clothes. It seems she had just been in the bushes, quietly enjoying a magnificent display of black fireworks all on her own.
In the corners, maidenhair ferns welcome the spring rain, hoping it will nourish their tender, fresh green fronds. On the paper mulberry tree, small orange-red blossoms appear like little suns, bringing warmth to the cool air of early spring. As the season reaches its end, globe amaranth, swaying gently in the wind, leads us on a quiet stroll into the coming summer.

About Lennon Tool Bar:
Lennon Tool Bar was founded in 2014 at Tamsui, Taiwan. Initially, it started to promote arts and crafts of Indigo Dyeing, a business that flourished a century ago in Taiwan, and at the time, Taiwan exported a considerable amount of "doroai," or the raw material of colorants used in Indigo Dyeing, to the Japanese Empire. Lennon Tool Bar draws inspiration from the traditional process and the popular colors used in Indigo Dyeing.
