The fifth part of the Painter Series from Dominant Industry returns with the third edition of inks inspired by Alphonse Mucha. He was a Czech painter who lived and worked in Paris during the Art Nouveau era. His creative legacy spans a wide range of works—from ilustrations and advertisements to decorative panels and design—many of which have become enduring symbols of the Art Nouveau era.
In this part of the Painter series, the colors are based off of Mucha's painting "The Moon" and "The Polar Star", which depict subjects in his classic soft and ornamental style. Representing the Stars and the Moon, Dominant Industry has devoted these inks as tribute to "the brilliant son of the Czech people" and strived to capture Mucha's timeless palette and style in these inks.
This series includes two standard inks, The Moon - No.122 and The Polar Star - No.123

About Dominant Industry:
Dominant Industry, based in Paju, Korea, makes small-batch specialty inks for dip pens. Adapting mixing and blending techniques developed for silk-screen inks, they have developed calligraphy inks with unique mirror and metallic finishes that are expressive and beautiful on paper, plastic, film, and glass. If digital CMYK colors are flat shades that are created through a subtractive process, Dominant Industry prides itself on its life-like colors that are created through an additive process, utilizing reflective and transparent pigments that incorporate natural light. Dominant Industry strives to create “bottled light,” colors that can be felt and experienced. This idea is reflected in Dominant Industry’s 4 different finishes: Hologram, Mirror, Pearl, and Standard.
