A few months ago, Halt’s brand representative from Japan visited our store to introduce their new stationery product to us. They were really kind and we were really flattered they stopped by our store for a visit. We are so new and small, but they like what we do. It is really honoring when a new brand from far away believes in what we do 😊 Also they give us delicious chocolate and amazing cookies 😂 These are all the styles we have in store and the next post will show how they are used. The Halt sticker is a circular...

Pentel Kerry mechanical pencil. Kerry was first introduced in 1971 and named ‘万年CIL’ (Kerry). The term ‘万年’ implies fountain pen, and that’s what Pentel had in mind. Around the same period, Pilot had come up with many pocket-sized fountain pens such as Vanishing Point and the Elite series. And just like the Elite series, Kerry features small body with a long cap. When the pen is capped, the cap extends the small body to regular size, and the tip of the cap becomes the push button for the mechanical pencil. The body is thicker than a normal pencil especially near...

SEED is an eraser company that originally started as a natural rubber company back in 1915. They discovered in 1956 that PVC works much better for eraser. Around that time, a typical eraser with natural material hardens over time, and becomes harder to erase. On the other hand, eraser made with PVC stays soft and unchanged for a long time. Two years after their discovery, SEED released Radar in 1958 as the first plastic eraser in the world. It picks up graphite easily, and the eraser seems to always stay really clean after each use. It’s pretty nice..Super Gold eraser...

This week, we are adding Tombow 707 to our collection. This pen was designed in 1987 by Tombow, originally a pencil company. Their pencils and MONO erasers are probably one of the most recognizable products growing up in Asia. Few decades ago, they started branching out to different stationery categories, and today in America, they are more well known for their brush pens. Tombow 707 is symbolic of that transition started a few decades ago. The pen is metallic with a nice weight. It’s also really slim but has a rubber grip that balances the weight towards your hand. The...
