It was such a fun night of Traveler’s Notebook Meetup! We started from our shop at 6pm last night with drinks, snacks and stickers from Traveler’s Company We slowly made our way to Coffee Tossey two blocks away. At the coffee shop, we set up a table for weighing competition and a table with washi tapes, stamps, and other fun journalling accessories. Everyone hung out and shared their journals with each other. The weighing competition was held at 9pm and the winner is Andy @newyorkvialosangeles with his Traveler’s Notebook at 1.7 pound! Wow! Thank you everyone who stopped by!

Our next artist is Miwa. When you walk into our shop, Miwa’s works are right by the entrance. It’s hard not to notice the colorful ceramics and we love how her bright pieces add so much more to our shop. Miwa is a ceramics artist originally from Tokyo and now living in Sunnyside. She creates her art pieces just a few blocks away from us at Sculpture Space NYC. Each of her works is unique and an abstract mix of Japanese tradition and pop elements that she has found inspiration from while living in Japan, Ohio and now NYC (swipe right...

This past year, we’ve met many people through our shop. Neil and I are often amazed by how many people we’ve met. On this week leading up to our one year anniversary, we’d like to share five artists who we’ve met though the shop. They have not only become a really important part of the store, but we...

Her stationery ranges from her early works of hand carved stamps, washi tapes, dioramas with mushrooms and gemstones, distressed papers, to the recent vintage labels and many of her iconic stamps. She draws inspirations from nature, vintage items and uses watercolor to create an unreal and magical world. On top of her busy life, she’s published a book in Taiwan too! Here are some of her recent designs. And just like her dioramas, each individual box feels like it’s frozen...

50 years ago today on July 20, 1969, the crew of NASA’s Apollo 11 made history, becoming the first manned spaceflight to land on the moon. The Fisher Space Pen was first used on the Apollo 7 space mission in 1968 after 2 years of testing by NASA, and has been used on all manned space flights since then. The Space Pen refill is pressurized and designed to write under zero-gravity as well as extreme weather (Ink relies on gravity to come out.
