Traveler’s Notebook New B-Sides & Rarities Sneakpeak
We were so excited when the Traveler’s team sent us a sneakpeek of TRC’s new B-Sides & Rarities collection a few weeks ago. This new line of Traveler’s Notebook refills features unique, quirky and off-the-beaten-path refills such as a Washable Paper refill, Super Lightweight Paper refill, Message Card refill, Letter Pad refill, and more special refills for you to further customize your own Traveler’s Notebook experience. The name “B-Sides & Rarities” was inspired by the A-side and B-side of vinyl records. Traveler’s explains that artists’ most popular works would often be featured on the A-side of a vinyl record, but when you flip the record over to the B-side, you would often find tracks that offer even deeper levels of understanding to an artist’s musical style, inspirations, etc, and some of these lesser-known songs have become today’s cult favorites. Traveler’s Company celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and this collection of B-Sides & Rarities refills is a compilation of the out of the ordinary ideas and refills they have created over the years. While these refills did not necessarily make it into the permanent collection of Traveler’s products that we all know and love today, Traveler’s wishes for you to enjoy them now as they may grow to be your unexpected favorites.
One of the refills I was most looking forward to trying was the Letter Pad refill. This refill comes with 30 sheets of MD Cotton Paper. Each sheet is lined on the front of the sheet and a 3mm grid pattern can be found on the back. As you all may know, I write a lot of notes everyday and some of you will be receiving a note in your order on this paper in the next few days! This Passport sized one was perfect for writing a quick note of a few sentences. The spaces along the border are just right for stickers and stamps, but I also love to layer stickers over the lines too since it makes for a cute and interestingly shaped block of text. The Cotton Paper is fountain pen friendly and absorbent so my fountain pen ink did not smear while I was writing a very quick note, and then was already dry when I used my date stamp over the note. The paper is also very suitable for markers if you like to add a cute colorful drawing to your note and there is no bleed through for most fountain pens, gel pens, stamps and markers. The refill utilizes a glue binding so I was able to easily tear out each note when I was finished. Use the connecting bands to add this refill to your TN or slip it into to your Kraft Folder refill. I can’t wait to be able to use this Letter Pad refill in my TN the next time I’m able to write notes in a cafe again :)

I’m interested in ALL these B-sides and rarities you’re bringing out. They sound like so much fun! Washable paper?

Thanks for this info. I’m eagerly awaiting the release.
Regarding “B Sides”. It wasn’t just a vinyl record. It refers to a 45 vinyl single. It was half the size of a usual record and contained just two songs. It required an adapter to play on a record player, which had 2 speeds…the needed one being 45 rpm. The A side was the popular song and the B side was not, as you wrote. Ya gotta be kinda old to remember 45’s. ;)
