Say Hi to Melany!
Introducing Melany! Mel joined Team Yoseka in August of last year, right as we were preparing for our biggest Hobonichi release yet! She had about two days to learn our whole organizational system and by the time Hobonichi Day came, she was able to help our team work on all the orders we got and she’s been here for every major release we’ve had since she started. I can say with confidence we wouldn’t have been able to do all we did last year without her 🩷
Mel was actually born and raised in Sunnyside, Queens and she first learned about stationery after visiting our shop back in Sunnyside. She even remembers her first purchase being an MD A6 notebook and mt space washi tape. After being inspired by Abbey Sy to look into the world of travel journaling, fountain pens and Hobonichi, she was hooked. Some of Mel’s favorite everyday carry stationery items these days include her LAMY Strawberry, a Hiroko Kubota Another night of falling star sparklers Weeks and her A6 Take a Note planner. Outside of Yoseka, Mel is a student and just completed her courses in Criminal Justice and applied for graduation this Spring!
