Pilot Custom Heritage SE
Pilot Custom Heritage SE. Released February 2021, and they just recently arrive in the US. It features Pilot’s No.5 14k gold nib with cartridge/converter filling mechanism, and they come in colorful marbled patterns! It’s very rare to see colorful Pilot Custom pens, but soon we will also see the same marbled patterns on Pilot’s Vanishing Point in the US.
The same marbled resin colors were first introduced on Pilot’s Timeline ballpoint pens. The Timeline series was released in 2005, with three themes: Past, Present and Future. It’s a bold and stylish twist to retract pen designed to withstand the test of time. Surprisingly, In December 2019, Pilot added a new theme called Eternal to the Timeline series, and introduced these marbled patterns seen here as its pen grip.
On these new fountain pen releases, the pen series are named “SE”, which is taken from French word “Seul”, to imply the pattern is one and only. The color names are simply named marbled blue, red, orange, green and black. However, when Timeline Eternal was released, the colors were given very strong meanings with images of elements. Here are the original color names: Eternal Red “地Earth” Hope, Eternal Blue “水Water” Intelligence, Eternal Orange “火Fire” Passion, Eternal Green “風Wind” Relax, and Eternal Black “無None” Zen. Which color/name do you like?
