Do you have a fountain pen that you’d like customized to your writing angle? Or a nib you’d like smoothed out? Maybe some pens that you’ve gotten bored with and would like to make more interesting to write with? Well, we are so happy to announce that local nib professional Josh Lax @jjlaxpenco will be at Yoseka on Thursday & Friday, June 26th-27th from 1-7pm grinding nibs and making all your nib dreams come true! You may know Josh from Stationery Fest or perhaps you have booked an appointment with him at a recent pen show or maybe you’ve heard of Esterbrook’s Scribe nibs, which are each ground by Josh himself! Josh has been in the fountain pen community working on nibs for over 10 years and we are so glad he’ll be bringing his expertise in-house to Yoseka in just a couple of weeks.

When Josh and I sat down to chat for our Nib Grinding Explained video on YouTube (which you can watch now), I was delighted to see his enthusiasm for fountain pens and the community, and inspired by his generosity of knowledge. After working with nibs for more than 10 years, he knows a lot about the inner workings of pens and what I love most is how willing he is to teach anyone who’s interested!
