As many of you know, we have been looking to grow our team for the last few months and after many conversations with so many amazing candidates, we are excited to begin introducing some of the new faces that you may have already seen around the shop! Today, we’d love everyone to welcome Authan to our team. Authan has been with us for a few months now and we are so happy to be able to introduce him to you all!
Authan grew up in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and was actually a frequent visitor at the original Yoseka store, where he was always looking for cool stationeries and art supplies during his student years at the local high school! Now he works as an illustrator with a great passion for creating art and solving problems with graphics. He creates illustrations both on his iPad as well as with acrylics on canvases and you can check out his works on his Instagram @authanchen. Blending the line between digital art and traditional medium, his paintings have also appeared in galleries in New York City, Los Angeles, Taipei, and other cities around the world. Currently, his favorite illustrator brands at Yoseka are Kyupodo and LCN, and he is always intrigued by the new Taiwanese artists introduced to the store.
I can’t believe we found Authan and what a small world it is! It tickles me to think that he and Neil could have met in Taiwan when they were kids but never did. We’ve really enjoyed getting to know Authan better over the past few months and he has gotten to be a real pro at working on all of your online orders and is actually behind many of our YouTube thumbnails, but we are thrilled that he’s now starting in our shop as well. Be sure to say hi next time you see him!
