A Real Gem

When Daisy & Neil create a product, the item far exceeds in quality and thoughtfulness.

No. 01 由 Origin is a beautiful emerald-green take on a traditional forest green (well, Yoseka's green); such a mesmerizing color. Not too bright, not too dark, appropriate for all occasions– minus cheques, oops– it has an undertone and youthfulness that is so rarely achieved in inks. Origin is well-behaved with a consistent medium flow in (my) nibs. The subtle shading doesn't distract from the writing experience and in bold/stub nibs has a hint of reddish sheen. Even on cream Midori paper, the ink holds its own & doesn't lose out on vibrancy.

So, naturally, I bought 2 bottles & anticipate purchasing another. No. 01 Origin has earned a permanent spot in the always-inked EDCs and is one of my absolute favorite colours. Let's hope this ink has earned a permanent spot in the shop!

In short: Yoseka has created a lovely, superb ink that lives up to Yoseka's name.

Perfect emerald green

Another delightful surprise from Yoseka. I bought it because of its meaning—I love this shop—but I was so happy to discover a really special ink in its own right!

It is rich, vibrant, flows well, and is a lovely cool green color that reminds me of a liquified gemstone. It’s that good.

I was sorry to miss out on the matching pen (I hope Yoseka will have Sailor run those again someday?), but so happy I was able to get this ink!

A new favorite

I am incredibly impressed with this ink! Yoseka really nailed it with the color; a rich forest green that isn't too dark or too light. Normally I reserve my green inks for spring, but this one is too nice not to use year round. I hope Yoseka continues their collaboration with some additional colors as if this ink is anything to go by then they're bound to be fantastic.

Glorious

Well, where do I begin with this fantastic Ink! This Ink first came to my attention whilst watching yosekas YouTube video. And I have to say it’s an absolute joy to use!

I would liken this ink to a holly like green and shades considerably darker.
On Cosmo air light with large ink splatters your can get a subtle red sheen.

Drying times are fast with fine nibs and is not water resistant, which could be a good or bad thing! As an artist, I love using water with my ink so for me I’m glad it’s not permanent.

In terms of chromatography there seems to be very little if any at all in my initial testing. But, I’ll be sure to try this ink out properly soon!

Just a warning, this ink is not really suitable for flexible writing with a standard plastic feed.
