"I made a winter gift again this year. It's already my fifth year, and it has become an important project that lets me reflect on the past year. This time, I was inspired by the beautiful star pattern on CHECK&STRIPE’s fabric and chose a starry sky design with red and blue contrasts. In Hokkaido, winter days are short, and it gets dark before 4 p.m., but the clear air makes it the best season to gaze at the stars.

I may say this every year, but even as I grow older, I still feel the same excitement from the first snowfall to Christmas. I scattered cute stars across my favorite CHECK&STRIPE fabric, bringing back warm memories of that joyful season. The blue recalls childhood wonder at the winter night sky and the glowing town illuminated before Christmas, creating a bright, starry sky.
