The ECO is the most affordable model yet from TWSBI. This pen features a piston mechanism, a clear barrel, clear cap and piston knob. The nib is smooth with a little feedback. The barrel is clear and smooth, which has lesser grip than a typical pen. Overall, it feels great holding in hand.

About TWSBI:
TWSBI 三文堂 (San Wen Tong) is one of our earliest collection even before the store. TWSBI started as an OEM manufacturer for different western brands, and around 2009, they decided to start their own brand. With 50 years of experience in pen making, they took to fountain pen forums and gather users’ feedback. It was said that Pelican M800 was the model they were inspired. Most of their pens are transparent, so it’s really fun to see the ink color and it lasts for a very long time.
The name 三文堂 (San Wen Tong) comes from the Hall of the Three Rare Treasures, created by Emperor Qianlong as a memorial to three great masterpieces of Chinese calligraphy. The initials of the name “San Wen Tong” was reversed and thus turned into "TWS". The last letters "Bi" was added with its literal meaning of "writing instruments" in Chinese. Thus combining the two segments, creating TWSBI.
I’m Year of the Horse and purchased this as my daily writer. I love it! Beautiful pen body, striking crimson horse illustration on a clear barrel with white cap and trim. Like all my TWSBIs, writing experience is smooth and reliable, with ample ink capacity. I got EF nib and have loaded it with Taccia Koiame ink, such a nice pairing. Very happy!!!
Beautiful and writes like a dream. No complaints
You can't go wrong with a TWSBI and I've wanted this kind of style for a long time. A limited edition Year of the Horse is even better. The fine nib writes smoothly inherent in TWSBI fountain pens. Yoseka shipped it 3 days after I preordered it.
I can not tell if thr horse is painted on or a decal. It is rough to touch.
This is my first TWSBI pen and I'm in love it. I got the fine nib and it's been wonderful writing with it in my Hobonichi. I thought it might be tricky filling it up with the ink but it's super easy to do. Highly recommend!
