Made from Tochigi Leather with a pull-up finish, this vegetable-tanned leather is slowly pit-tanned to allow the tannins to fully penetrate the hide, then infused with oil throughout. When the leather is bent, the oil shifts within the hide, creating subtle areas that appear slightly lighter and giving it a distinctive pull-up effect. A thin resin coating gives the surface a smooth feel, while the tightly packed fibers and rich oil content create a supple, smooth, and satisfyingly substantial texture.
