The Superior Labor - HTS Journal
HTS stands for "Hang Together System", a design that allows you to carry a pen and memo pad as a set. This stylish leather holder features a back pocket where you can securely insert the memo pad’s spine, enabling you to write while it hangs comfortably from your neck. The rivet allows a strap to by attached to the HTS Journal so that it can be carried around daily. Please note that a strap does not come with the HTS Journal.
The leather The Superior Labor (TSL) uses is natural leather. While they try to avoid deep scratches that could lead to tears or rips, TSL embraces the material’s natural imperfections—such as wrinkles and minor surface marks—as part of its unique character. The brass components age and patina over time as well to add to the item's charm. Please note that variations in color, thickness, and texture may occur, as each piece of leather is inherently different. Additionally, be mindful of potential stains or color transfer due to water exposure.

About The Superior Labor:
Founded by former auto mechanic and leather artisan Makoto Kawai, this lifestyle brand crafts a variety of high-quality everyday tools that promote slow and intentional living. Kawai considers The Superior Labor as a natural extension of his experience working with cars, crafting leather goods, traveling, and curating vintage wares. All of The Superior Labor’s design and manufacturing takes place in a former elementary school campus in the rural and mountainous area of Kaga-gun, Okayama Prefecture, where Kawai lives and works. Called “nap village,” it welcomes visitors to come and experience The Superior Labor’s living and crafting philosophy while exploring the wonderful nature of Mount Hongu.
