Originally released in 2005 and discontinued in 2014, the 925-85 REG made its return in 2025 with sturdier internal components, eliminating the rattling within the pencil, as well as a lower center of gravity. This makes the pencil even more balanced and enjoyable to write with. The main highlight of this pencil is the regulator dial, which is where the "REG" name comes from. You can tailor how much lead is dispensed with each click of the cap to suit your writing and drafting needs.

To adjust, turn the dial beneath the indicator to increase or decrease the length of the lead. This will increase or decease the distance between the clutch and the inner wall of the cone, which will change the total length of the pencil. The change in distance adjusts how far the clutch dispenses, which determines the length of the lead with each click. This pencil is also equipped with a visual indication of how much lead will be dispensed. When you adjust the lead length, the display will automatically fill or empty to show the length of the lead. The minimum length is 0.14mm and the maximum length is 1.72mm.

This pencil also has a visual lead grade indicator. To adjust the lead grade indicator, simply turn the metal sleeve to the appropriate lead grade.

Made with solid metal body and comfortable diamond-patterned knurled grip, this mechanical pencil weighs around 22.5g. The metallic grip does not wear off and guarantees a consistent hold throughout a longer lifetime.
