The screw cap uses Platinum's patented "Slip and Seal" mechanism, which creates an air tight seal around the nib and prevents the ink from drying out for up to a year. The Procyon comes with a special newly designed feed that only requires you to submerge the nib halfway into an ink bottle in order to draw ink up. This special design allows you to easily draw ink up from a bottle even when it is almost empty.
