Platinum Century 3776 Fountain Pen - Travia - Limited Edition Set
The Platinum Travia blends "Tradition" and "Via" (Latin for "path"), building on decades of #3776 Century heritage to express Platinum's modern design vision. Its black metal trim and ruthenium-plated nib create a modern look suited to professional settings.
The Travia features the FLAF ("Float Like a Feather") nib, which was first introduced on the #3776 Century Decade. The FLAF nib flexes with less force than standard #3776 Century nibs, allowing natural line variation while writing. Compared to both standard and soft #3776 nibs, the FLAF nib responds more linearly to pressure, meaning that the amount of flex is directly proportionate to the force applied. This makes the FLAF nib easier to control and fine-tune, as the line changes as intended with writing pressure.
Unlike other #3776 Century pens, the Travia features a long, flat-top body, similar to the #3776 Century Decade. A metal balancer component is integrated into the center of the barrel, shifting the pen's center of gravity closer to the fingertips for a stable, comfortable writing experience. The pen also features Platinum’s signature "Slip & Seal Mechanism," designed to keep ink fresh for extended periods and ensure smooth, reliable writing.
The first production run is limited to 2,000 sets worldwide and includes the commemorative booklet Ah, Fifty Years of Hardship by Platinum founder Shunichi Nakata, first published in 1966 and revised for this release. In the future, the Travia will be also available as a standard release.

About Platinum & 3776:
Originally released in 1978, Platinum 3776 is one of Platinum's iconic pen series. Over the years, Platinum has added many colors as well as limited and special editions to the 3776 line. 3776 stands for the height of Mount Fuji, the highest mountain and when it was first released in 1978, it was awarded the "Good Design Prize" by the Japanese government. In 2011, the "Century 3776" series was released in honor of the approaching 100th anniversary of Platinum and was designed to maintain the quality standards defined by the original 3776 combined with the needs of a modern fountain pen user: new sleek design, comfortable writing balance, and smooth flow. Century 3776 employs Platinum's own "Slip and Seal Mechanism" that employs a spring in the cap to force an air tight closure around the nib, thus preventing ink from drying out in this fountain pen for up to a year.
