The Japanese word “Madoromi” translates to "dozing" or "drowsiness," evoking a tranquil state. The KAKUNO Madoromi Color Series captures this serene feeling through five soft, soothing hues inspired by the calm beauty of a "drowsy sky."
The Kakuno Fountain Pen is suitable for beginners, and even children can write comfortably with it. It features a smiling face on the nib so that the smiling face is always facing you when you're holding the pen correctly. The pen body is hexagonal so that if you set it down, it won't roll away.
The name "Kakuno" is based on and pronounced the same as the words 書くの meaning "writing" and 6角の meaning "six-angles" corresponding to the pen's hexagonal shape.

I've got the Light Blue F and I'm so happy I was able to get it. The colour is a beautiful blue, the nib has an engraved face, writes really smooth and is very comfortable to write with.
I really recommend this Pilot Kaküno to everyone, beginners included
I do really recommend this shop Yoseka Stationery, outstanding customer service
I picked this pen partly because of the color and partly because I had read that it was a good beginner pen. I love the color, and it is very easy to use. I have used with the black cartridge and with a Iroshizuku cartridge in Ku-jaku, and both inks come out very nicely. My sister also got the same pen in Ivory, and she really enjoys writing with it as well. She had never used a fountain pen before but found that it really comfortable to write with.
