This is by far my favorite Custom 74 color. I find the other colors a little too bright and the smoke a little too dark. The cool blue-gray makes it business-appropriate without looking dull. The way this color plays with the light also goes very well with the silver hardware. It strikes the right balance for me between business and casual.
For this, I got the fine nib. I made the mistake of not flushing the pen before using. On top of that, I ink it up with a very dry ink. It was only after I flush it and fill it with an Iroshizuku ink that I feel that Pilot gold nib magic. It's so smooth, the smoothest fine/extra-fine nib I've ever used. So pleasant to write with. So legible!
