Pelikan M600 Fountain Pen - Souverän - Art Collection #2 - Rudi Rother
The Souverän® M600 Art Collection Rudi Rother is not just a writing instrument, it is a canvas that revives the golden age of Pelikan’s artistic heritage. Inspired by the bold, geometric poster art of designer Rudi Rother, this edition transforms iconic visuals from the early 20th century into a contemporary object of elegance and creativity.
The barrel tells the true story of this edition. Created using a refined process, it begins with an intriciately detailed engraved brass tube covered with ten layers of lacquer, and polished to a smooth, luminous surface. Upon this, Rother’s expressive design unfolds a striking play of geometry, light, and color that shifts like a hologram with every movement.
This is the second chapter of the Pelikan Art Collection, following the celebrated Glauco Cambon edition. Pelikan continues a journey that bridges art and craftsmanship, honoring its historic ties to poster art and transforming them into timeless treasures of writing culture.

About Pelikan:
Pelikan is a Germany company founded in 1838. The beginnings of the Pelikan Company trace back to the chemist Carl Hornemann, who made his customers an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and “farbige Dinten” (colored inks). These items formed the foundation of the brand's manufacturing line, including most notably the 4001 ink, which is still sold around the world to this day. Pelikan is recognized for their early integration of piston mechanisms into fountain pens, as well as the numbered naming system for their fountain pens such as the M200, M400, M600, M800, and M1000 series.
