This pen is gorgeous and I like the 1911L shape even more than the PG. Same body girth and a bit of extra length. The color representation in the photos is spot on. Great pen from an awesome shop. Yoseka never disappoints!! Thank you!!!!!!!!
I was a little worried that this pen would be too big but it is perfect and has lovely weight as well. It is beautiful!, the color is a deep, bright blue with gold shimmer and with a gold plated grip which gives this pen a regal air. This was a bit of a splurge but so worth it! Lovely to write with - the EF nib is firm but not stiff, provides some flair and character, it’s very responsive- a joy to use.
The pen arrived wrapped to the 10s by Yoseka. This is my first sailor pen and I am really enjoying it so far. The gold trim matches with the blue/purple resin, which sparkles subtly. It uncaps in 1.5 turns and writes comfortably posted. I like the added metal grip section to make it more front heavy, may be slippery to hold some. The metal of the grip section isn't exactly the same gold colour as the rest of the trim, but that's no issue for me. The weathervane/rooster nib has some meaning to me and by chance the limited edition number I received is also meaningful! So I'd like to say this pen was destined to be mine :) I am currently using Sailor Seiboku cartridges with it and you can really see observe the shading. You can hear the feedback, kind of like writing with a marker, and it writes extremely smooth as a broad nib. I also find that you can get a pretty thin line with less of a writing angle (more vertical), and it does reverse write to somewhat of an EF, but I don't really do that, it's just something I noticed. The pen will be a daily driver for me!
