Kaweco Sport Fountain Pen - Collectors Edition - Iridescent Pearl.
Almost identical to the CLASSIC Sport fountain pens, this edition of Collectors Edition features a beautiful iridescent body with silver detailing. Capped, the pen is about 4 inches long, and when uncapped and writing, with the cap placed on the backside of the pen, the pen is lengthened to be about 5 inches, giving it a comfortable size and balance in the hand. With Kaweco’s signature octagonal pen barrel, the fountain pen sits easily in your hand when you are writing and are able to lie flat on a desk without rolling around. In the store, when we are asked to recommend a starter fountain pen, the Kaweco Sport fountain pens are one of the pens we always suggest you try out.

About Kaweco:
Kaweco is a manufacturer of writing instruments based in Heidelberg, Germany. It was founded in 1883 as Heidelberger Federhalterfabrik and later renamed to Kaweco. Kaweco has a long history of making dipping pens, pocket-sized fountain pens, fountain pens, and nibs.
Its sooo pretty and cute and lightweight. ❤️
The Kaweco Iridescent Pearl is my first Kaweco pen and it really is that beautiful and fun to look at. I like the compact size and ease of use. Since this was my first experience with Kaweco and Double Broad nib, I'm not sure what to expect, but it works ok with Colorverse's Butterfly Nebula shimmering ink.
The pen is very pretty though and write like butter. Part of me wonders if I should buy a second Iridescent Pearl.
I've had a few fountain pens in the past, but they were cheap and low quality, so I didn't enjoy using them. I wasn't sure I even knew how to use a fountain pen correctly! (I really appreciated the unwrapping video on this listing!) That said, this pen is beautiful beyond its appearance. Its ink flow is easy to write with, and its size fits comfortably in my hand. I also bought the Kaweco Midnight Blue ink to go with it, and I'm in love.
This is my first ever Kaweco so I felt I needed to go in style. Posted, it's the perfect length and weight of my hands (I usually don't post). I'm used to Japanese F nibs so I went with an EF, which somehow is much finer than I expected but still lovely to write with and just the right amount of feedback for me. I wanted to ink it with Sailor Yurameku Kyokkou after seeing Daisy's video, but I have Sailor Ink Studio 123 in it and it is just as beautiful. It's difficult to write with thought because all I want to do is stop and admire the pen.
I'm still fairly new to the fountain pen world. When I saw this cute and affordable pen, I knew I had to have it! Writes wonderfully smooth in the broad nib and is the perfect size for when you are on the go. Looking forward to buying a few more of these Kaweco sport fountain pens with different nib sizes and colors! :)
