Established in February 2012 in Hamamatsu City, founded by Kaoru Yamagishi. BUNGUBOX’s mission is to celebrate “writing” with future generations through “tell, spread, and preserve”. BUNGUBOX focuses on writing instruments, especially fountain pens. Writing brings out each person’s personality and feelings, and depending on various situations, a particular ink color can convey more stories and it is indispensable for writing with a fountain pen. "Ink tells more" is BUNGUBOX’s message to everyone, and they hope to find make your lifestyle richer with fountain pens and inks. BUNGUBOX designs products that are simple, smart and special.

Our ink samples will come in these tiny adorable glass bottles. They can hold up to 5ml, and you can pick either 3ml or 5ml of each color.

These bottles are meant to be reusable. You can return your 10 empty bottles to us, and your next sample ink will be on us.

Please note that orders containing ink samples may require an extra 2-3 days time as we make our ink samples to order.

It's lighter than it seems from the swatch online

The ink is great. It flows well - I'm currently using it with a Lamy Safari 1.5mm nib. But the color is brighter red than I thought it would be based on the image of the swatch on the website. I thought it would be more crimson. It's still a great color, but I am looking for something a little darker. But this is why it's so great that Yoseka sells these samples. It's fun to try different colors to see which ones you like the most.

Piano Mahogany

This is such a beautiful reddish brown. It's so smooth out of the pen and the shading shows even with my fine nib pilot metropolitan - it's so pretty! I'm new to fountain pens and inks, so I can't believe I landed on such a beautiful brown on my first order. The example of the ink on the website is very true to the ink on paper. The small personal glass jars the samples get sent in are also such a special touch. Will definitely savor this ink and buy samples from Yoseka again.

Cinderella’s Slipper

This seemed to be the ideal name for a BUNGUBOX ink, and the color is exactly the shade I remember Cinderella’s dress being in the original Disney movie. It’s soft and delicate but still very legible in a medium nib.

Lovely Color

Very similar to Writer's Blood by Diamine but this is a bit more reddish. A nicely wet ink, not too wet and not too dry. This is my kind of rich color, love it! Thankful to Yoseka for selling inks in 5 mil sample bottles and love the little glass bottles, such a nice touch!

I love this shade! Its so summery. And yoseka packages this ink sample with professionalism makinf the experience even more enjoyable!
