This Hobonichi Techo Weeks is a compact weekly-edition book that’s easy to carry everywhere. The book is slim and roughly the size of a long wallet, making it easy to fit into a bag or suit pocket. The main layout of the book consists of a weekly calendar on the left page and dashed graph paper on the right page. Each weekly spread also contains the characteristic Hobonichi quote in English on the bottom of the page. Although slim at first glance, the book holds 73 graph-ruled memo pages for note-taking at the end of the book. The Weeks is available with a variety of different cover designs on the book itself and does not require an additional cover purchased separately.
White Line, Smooth, Sneaker, and type cover designs are slightly bendable and mold nicely to the shape of a hand. Color, Paper, Leather, and Special Artist Collaboration type cover designs are made of stiff paperboard material and have less of a bend, making them easier to clip open and lay flat. Some planners such as the White Line, Leather, Smooth, and PVC weeks styles are made to be used without a protective clear cover. For extra protection with these styles, a fabric cover or pouch is suggested.

There’s already a ton of reviews online of the planner itself, so I’m just going to talk about the leather covers. It’s remarkably thin leather and the color is so good. What I saw online was nice, but the color is so much better in person. On my computer and phone screen, the color looked like a flat brown, but in person it has some gorgeous red undertones. I understand why the color is called wine brown.
I typically get the fabric covers every year, but I’m loving this leather.
