Hobonichi Techo Cousin Cover - Kyohei Sakaguchi: Field Sky - A5 (Order Starts Aug 31st @ 10pm ET)

Kyohei Sakaguchi is a writer, painter, musician, architect and more. He's released 46 books as of Jun 2025. In more recent times, he is involved in creating a variety of things including knives, pottery, furniture, puppets and comics. 

The paintings chosen to be on the covers of the  Hobonichi Techo were chosen from the Contemporary Art Museum in Kumamoto. This museum has 1233 pieces and it was narrowed down to this piece.

Printed with a landscape painting by writer, musician, and artist Kyohei Sakaguchi, this cover showcases a refreshing blue sky and white clouds stretching over a wide field. Though realistic in style, it was created with pastels and applied by hand, giving it a warm, tactile feel. Features “butterfly stopper” pen holders that also double as a clasp to keep the cover securely closed.

This cover will comfortably fit A5 notebooks with a spine of 0.5 inches (1.27cm) or smaller. Though it has the capacity to fit spines larger than 0.5in, the cover might have a tighter fit.
