Hobonichi 2026 Junji Ito: Tomie - Sticky Notes of Terror
These sticky notes feature artwork from Tomie, the debut and one of the most iconic works of horror manga artist Junji Ito. Using original illustrations from the manga, created nearly 40 years ago in 1987, the designs capture the eerie, one-of-a-kind world Junji Ito is known for.
The set includes four designs, with 20 sheets each. Among them are speech bubbles that reflect Tomie’s beauty and arrogance, an unsettling scene showing two Tomies, twisted horror-style action lines, and a chilling To Do list that feels like a command from Tomie herself. Every design is strikingly beautiful, laced with a sense of eerie allure.

About Junji Ito and Tomie
Junji Ito was born in Gifu Prefecture in July 1963. In 1986, he won an Honorable Mention for his submission Tomie in the first Umezu Award, published in Monthly Halloween (Asahi Sonorama). This horror series became his debut work and remains his most famous.
Tomie, the main character, is a beautiful young woman with long black hair and a beauty mark under her left eye. She is arrogant and malevolent, proclaiming herself to be the most beautiful person in the world. Like a siren, Tomie uses her charm to lure men in and ruin their lives. Eventually, her lovestruck victims descend into madness and resort to murder—but Tomie always regenerates, returning to life to repeat the cycle.
