Classiky - Toranekobonbon Kaishi Papers - Cat
Kaishi paper is a necessity at tea and kaiseki dinners, but it's also incredibly useful in everyday life. Kaiseki (懐石), or kaiseki-ryōri (懐石料理), is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner, where a set menu of select food is served on an individual tray to each member of the dinner. Kaishi paper can be used as a handkerchief, for touching up makeup, or as oil-blotting paper. It can also be used to wrap simple sweets, write notes, or it can also be folded up to be used as a small envelope.
Naoko Nakanishi (Nachio), the artist that drew and created the character of Toraneko Bonbon (translated as "tiger cat bonbon"), is also a chef and hosts a traveling restaurant. Her drawing style is child-like and fun, and she draws mostly animals. Nakanishi's culinary background can be seen in her illustrations as the character Toraneko Bonbon and the other animals in her drawings are frequently depicted with food and drink. She is also the editor and publisher of "Animal Newspaper."
