Mihani Kobo is a design team of silkscreen and textile artists, Kaya Kishimoto and Nioko Kagoshima. Together they create vintage-inspired artwork for Kishimoto’s fictitious and charming bookstore, Mihani Shorin. Their designs are hand processed and silkscreen printed onto original Japanese fabrics. Mihani Kobo uses geometric patterns, landscapes, and whimsical animals to create retro and stunningly vibrant motifs. Their colorful stencil dyed designs translate beautifully from cloth to paper as seen in this Mihani Kobo x Classiky washi tape collection.
