Choose from graphite/red, graphite/yellow or blue/red for these bicolor pencils. These pencils are perfect for highlighting, making notes in margins and editing. The colored pencil component is even water-soluble so you can run a water brush over your markings and create a wash.

About Caran d'Ache:

Founded in 1915 in Geneva, Caran d'Ache was originally known as Fabrique Genevoise de Crayons, but it was rebranded to Caran d'Ache, which means pencil in Russian, in 1924. Probably most famous for their pencils and colored pencils, the company has a long history in making some of the finest writing instruments.

Water soluble-a game changer!

These pencils are water soluble, which is rare for “editing pencils.” I like to make a general basic sketch in red, use some water to create tone, and when it’s dry go over the drawing with blue.
