Blackwing Volume 21 - Woodworking - Set of 12

The Blackwing 21 pays tribute to the woodworking craft. Each pencil is meticulously made by interlacing two short slats, creating Blackwing's first-ever square barrel. The construction of this pencil was inspired by Shaker woodworking methods, which interlaces pieces of wood without the addition of other materials. The square shape is an homage to a carpenter's pencil, which prevents the pencil from rolling off of surfaces. The walnut color wood stain and extra-wide face on the pencil also highlights the finger joints on each pencil. The number 21 comes from the well-known woodworking saying "Measure twice, cut once."

Fitted with Blackwing's 602 firm graphite, it writes smoothly and retains a sharp point, making it ideal for measuring and marking cut lines and then measuring them again.
