Our Yoseka Kakimori Exclusive Inks were created to celebrate our exciting partnership with Kakimori for their Inkstand Pop-Up at Yoseka during Fall 2022.
Kakimori as a brand emphasizes craftsmanship and artisanship. Walking into Kakimori's shop can feel like being in a laboratory and studio all at once, where you can sense many creative activities occurring in the same space. Here at Yoseka, we have always felt that our shop should be an immersive experience for stationery enthusiasts--a stationery playground where you can try everything out and learn about your own tastes at the same time.
With our exclusive Yoseka Kakimori Inks, we wanted to pick two colors that embody our store and the philosophies behind our shop experience. The first ink color is called Hello.
We hope you feel right at home when you enter Yoseka Stationery. Our wooden main table is custom made for our space and intentionally designed to be bar height, inviting you to try all of the stationery before you. If it could talk, it would say “try me!”
- 35ml
- Waterproof pigment ink
- Pigment ink has a tendency to solidify and clog nibs once dry so upkeep is required through daily writing and regular washing of the pen.

I’m a big fan of these Kakimori inks. I like all kinds of ink aesthetics but I really really like deep, opaque writing and Kakimori delivers just that. I find that these inks are very “true” in that they don’t change color based on angle, dry vs. wet, etc. What you see is what you get. They are permanent too, which is no joke: I did some tests and it’s amazing how resistant to water these inks are.
These Yoseka exclusive colors are fantastic. “Hello” is a deep, brick red whereas “Try Me” evokes rich wood or perhaps coffee hues. They give a bit of a fall vibe and since I have a fall-state-of-mind all year long, they are perfect for me 🤗🍁🧱🍂☕️
Caveats: I find Kakimori take a little while longer to dry than some inks. And you should be mindful of allowing these inks to stagnate in a fountain pen too long as they can clog if they’re allowed to dry. I try to use them in pens that I can disassemble to clean which excludes my Pilot Custom 823, for example.
PS: The Yoseka embossing on the box is delightful 📦🔍🥹
