Wooden pencils contain lead, made of a mixture of graphite and clay, the ratio of which results in varying hardnesses. Encasing the lead of a wooden pencil is the exterior wooden casing. Wooden pencils are numbered on a scale of "H" for Hard to "B" for Black with a number in front of the letter. For more on wooden pencils, check out our
