Nagasawa is based in Kobe, Japan, and was founded in 1882. The colors of Kobe Ink originate from the vibrant views found around the beautiful city of Kobe, capturing its regional characteristics, aspects, and environments. Use Kobe Ink to evoke happy feelings and the magical qualities of Kobe when writing letters to friends.
This color was made to represent the blue poppies of Himalaya but in California we have a native flower called Baby Blue Eyes that is nearly a match. This ink color makes me want to paint ink flowers because its so pretty. It also shades nicely for writing with my flex nibs and remains readable on white paper, providing your pen is not too dry or too fine. Be prepared for a bit longer dry time, 45-50 seconds. My opinion, this shade is definitely worth the wait. Write on!
