Happy October friends! It's hard to believe how much has happened in just one month. September 1st was Hobonichi Day and leading up to it, we had an Instagram live at 11pm the night before, and together, our team counted down the midnight EST release of 2023 Hobonichi planners. The release was a huge success thanks to you all and it's been such a pleasure watching the popularity of this planner grow over the last few years. In September, we also started receiving many of the other 2023 planners that we have been taking pre-orders for and by now, many of...

This year, Hobonichi announced that the paper for 2024 planners will be changing from Tomoegawa’s Tomoe River Paper to Sanzen’s version of Tomoe River Paper. To give everyone a chance to experience this change for themselves, Hobonichi has included a test packet with all of the Original, Cousin, Planner, Day-Free, and 5-Year Books. The test packet is based off of the 2023 Original Planner shrunk down to 80% of its full size, and it is just too cute!! Complete with a mini monthly calendar and mini daily pages, the packet allows you to test your pens and markers in the...

With planner season around the corner and Hobonichi Day (September 1st) in just a couple of weeks, I thought it would be a great time for some of our team members to share how we use our Hobonichi planners! I swear using a Hobonichi is not a requirement when I am looking to add to our team, but it does seem that a whole lot of us have chosen Hobonichi planners this past year. In this blogpost, you'll hear from myself (Daisy), Neil, Ashley, Christine and Amy. We each use our own Hobonichi planners in different ways and we're excited to...

From Wednesday, September 28 to Sunday, October 2, Kakimori will be taking over Yoseka with their signature Inkstand and notebook customization services!  Kakimori is a stationery store and brand from the neighborhood of Kuramae in Tokyo. Founded in 1961 as a commercial office supply business, in 2014, Kakimori opened up their Inkstand, where customers are still allowed to walk in or make reservations to customize their own personal ink blends after experimenting with ink base colors drop by drop.  Kakimori as a brand emphasizes craftsmanship and artisanship, and they have taken these ideals even further by expanding upon their ink-making services to...

The theme of next year's Traveler's Company refills has been announced and it is "Traveler's Cafe" reminding all of us that a good cup of coffee in a cozy cafe while journaling can be appreciated no matter where you are traveling in the world! Coffee and tea lovers (although coffee is definitely represented more in these motifs!) and stationery enthusiasts will be so excited to see the coming year's Traveler's theme of "Cafe"!  There is definitely an intersection between these two communities and we are excited to see that represented on next year's limited refills. We love this year's theme and...

She came to Yoseka from another stationery store, and when not working at the store, she writes and works as a freelance copy editor and proofreader. She enjoys journaling and reading and records notes and quotes in a variety of notebooks. Her current stationery favorites are her Hobonichi Techo and Sailor Shikiori...
