Tomoe River - Sanzen - Loose Leaf Paper - A5 Blank

Tomoe River paper has various qualities but does not particularly excel in any one area.

Among the four types of paper I tested, Tomoe River stands out for its smoothness, although it does have some minor drawbacks.

Its thinness can cause show-through, and there is a slight risk of bleed-through, which can result in fuzzy lettering.

If you are looking for very smooth paper, this could be a good option for you.

But at the sametime you could make the argument that it is almost too smooth depending on the paper charecteristics you preferr.

When it comes to sheen and shading, I ranked the four papers as follows: Cosmo, Iroful, Midori, and Rhodia, with Tomoe River coming in last.

Tomoe River produced significantly less sheen compared to the top two ranked papers.

For my testing, I used inks from Diamine, Ferris Wheel, Ink Institute, and Wearingeul. For the pens i used, a flex fine, fine, medium, bold and a Stub 1.1 nib.

Would I buy it again probably not. I much prefered how the other papers preformened.
