During TSL's Customization Workshops at Stationery Fest, you will be able to personalize and customize exclusive pouches under the guidance and supervision of the founder of TSL, Makoto Kawai, his partner, Yoshimi Kawai, and Esther Molina and Ame, instructors trained in TSL methods.
On this reservation page, you'll choose from three different sized pouches to customize during the workshop. Please be advised that you may select as many pouches as you'd like to purchase but within the 90 minute workshop, you may only have enough time to customize one or two.
You can select from add-on items of brass charms or a leather tag that you will learn how to sew on to the pouch yourself with a between different colored threads. Select as many tags as you would like on your pouch(es) or to take home with you to use with other stationery items. You can also choose to add on additional TSL brass pins.
The leather tag (optional add-on item) and the leather pull tab (included on the pouch) have room for leather embossing and you will be able to customize these accessories by embossing your initials, the date, or whatever words or numbers you would like.
Finally, further customization and personalization on the pouches will be available through the usage of exclusive TSL and Stationery Fest stamps. You'll learn how to apply the stamps onto your canvas pouches to achieve an even and beautiful imprint to forever commemorate your experience at TSL's Customization Workshop at Stationery Fest.

Kawai considers The Superior Labor as a natural extension of his experience working with cars, crafting leather goods, traveling, and curating vintage wares. All of The Superior Labor’s design and manufacturing takes place in a former elementary school campus in the rural and mountainous area of Kaga-gun, Okayama Prefecture, where Kawai lives and works. Called “nap village,” it welcomes visitors to come and experience The Superior Labor’s living and crafting philosophy while exploring the wonderful nature of Mount Hongu.
