This ink is perfect. It's a dream to write with, in any pen and any nib size. It flows perfectly and dries quickly. The color is absolutely gorgeous. Using a medium nib on Tomoe River paper, you'll get some gorgeous shading from a deep moonlight blue to a gorgeous blue-black that is somehow the exact shade of a moonlit night. The color on Tomoe River paper and Midori paper is different than what's shown here - on those papers the ink is much closer to black, without the reddish sheen and with more of a very faint teal tone instead.
Every single ink from the Pilot Iroshizuku line that I've tried has been of very high quality, but this may be the best ink I've ever used. It's the perfect combination of practical, beautiful, and fun to write with.
I have tried this ink in several of my pens (two Pilots and a Jinhao) and it is a delight to use. The flow is nice and wet, it dries quickly, and is of a shade that it can pass as "professional" at work.
The swabs and samples in the picture do not do give this ink its full dues. The ink is a nice blue-black, but there is a definite turquoise undertone in it that shows up enough to make it stand out, but not enough to discount it from any use.
This ink is loaded in one of my pens at all times now. The color alone justifies it, but the performance and handling make it a dream to write with anytime.
