To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of MD Paper Products, MD invited 15 artists to get creative with the MD Notebook. Each special-edition MD Notebook features the artists' illustrations blind embossed on the covers. Grace Lee, an Australian-born, Tokyo-based illustrator designed this cover.
A Note from the Artist:
"I rely on colour for my regular work, so this design served as a good creative challenge to strip everything back and go back to basics – just paper and pen. I thought about what I personally use notebooks for and most of the time it's for everything I listed in my design. It was a lovely full circle moment to write in an MD Notebook again as it was one of the first notebooks I used when I moved to Japan."
Midori's MD Notebooks are known for their simple and minimalistic design, which is intentional in order to emphasize the quality of the paper and your writing experience. Your pen will glide across MD's specially formulated paper, which also prevents your ink from bleeding, ghosting, and feathering.

About the Artist: Grace Lee
Grace Lee is an Australian-born, Tokyo-based illustrator. After studying visual communications and cutting her teeth in editing and print ad design, she moved to Tokyo in 2009. She has worked on books, packaging and campaigns around the world. She makes imaginative use of colors and shapes to create playful works that add excitement to people's daily lives.
